一方で、明確な政治的意図を持っていなかったユーザーが、バズによって「政治インフルエンサー化」するケースもある。2024年の英国選挙では、政治的な投稿を偶然拡散させてしまった一般人が、その後も注目を集め続け、政治的影響力を持つようになった。
政治的影響力は、今や意図して得るものだけではなくなっている。
透明性と規制のための提案
報告書はこの状況に対し、いくつかの提案を行っている。
