誤情報によって揺らいだのは一般市民の信頼だけではない。医療制度の信頼性そのものが、政治介入を通じて損なわれている。2025年6月、米国においてワクチン政策を助言するACIP（予防接種実施諮問委員会）の全メンバーが突然解任されるという事件が起きた。この措置は、政治的介入として多方面から批判を受け、CDCやNIHの助言自体の信憑性を国内外の医療従事者が疑問視する転換点となった。
